How do you compete with the national chains?
Since opening in 1950, Hephner TV has outlasted a multitude of national chains in the Wichita market. Our customers continue to come to our store for reliable information, personalized service, extensive inventory, and aggressive pricing. As one of the largest independent electronics stores in this region, Hephner TV uses the same price sheet as the national chains. With competitive price sheets and lower overhead, Hephner TV can sell products for the same price as the national chains and offer free delivery on most items. Do you have free delivery?
Yes. Not only do we offer free delivery on new purchases over $300, we also include set-up and instruction with our deliveries. At Hephner TV, we understand that delivery means much more than simply dropping a box on your front porch. We'll even haul away your old TV at no charge.
Do you sell used TV's?
Yes, we offer a limited number of reconditioned items for sale. All reconditioned sets have been processed through our service department and carry a warranty. On reconditioned merchandise, our warranty is 30 days on sets up to 27" and 90 days on sets over 27."
Do you buy used TV's?
No. While we have used TV's for sale, these sets are generally unclaimed repaired TV's. If a set is working properly, you might consider donating it to your church, school, or other charitable organization.
Service related Questions
Can you fix my TV in the home?
Unfortunately, most modern electronics require a component level repair. That means that we have to determine exactly which transistor or microchip is bad and replace that part. This level of repair requires more sophisticated diagnostic tools within our shop. Therefore, the majority of items must come into our shop for repair. However, our service call fee includes the pickup and return delivery of your item.
Do you service all brands?
We service everything we sell and most other brands. However, we do limit service on some brands and items that we don't sell. Please call 316-264-3284 for details.
Do you give free repair estimates?
No. We have estimate fee of $40 on all items left for repair. This fee is collected when the item is dropped off. However, if the set is repaired, the estimate fee is deducted from the final repair bill.
Do you pick up old non-working TV's?
No. However, when you purchase a new set from us, we can pick up and dispose of your old set at the time of delivery for FREE.
